We’re excited to kick off another great season of Swampscott Nahant Youth Basketball! Below you’ll find important information about tryouts, the pre-season clinic, and the upcoming season schedule.

TRYOUT SCHEDULE

All tryouts will be held at Swampscott Middle School.

Girls – MONDAY, November 3rd

• 6th Grade: 6:00–7:00 PM
• 7th & 8th Grades: 7:00–8:30 PM

Boys – Tuesday, November 4th

• 5th & 6th Grade: 6:00–7:30 PM
• 8th Grade: 7:30–9:00 PM

Boys – WEDNESDAY, November 5th

• 7th Grade: 6:00–7:30 PM

• Practices Begin: Week of November 10th (more info coming soon)
• Regular Season Games Start: December 6th
• Regular Season Ends: February 28th
• Playoffs Begin:March 4th

🏀 PRE-SEASON CLINIC (Optional)

We’re offering a special skills clinic next week at Swampscott Middle School, run by Elite Hoopers Academy.

Clinic Details:

• Girls (Grades 4–8): Monday, October 27th, 6:00–7:30 PM
• Boys (Grades 4–8): Wednesday, October 29th, 6:00–7:30 PM
• Cost: $10 per player
• Capacity: Limited to 20 participants per session

WE NEED TO MOVE OUT TRYOUT/ASSESSMENT DATES to 10/28, 10/30, and 11/1 for The sessions will be held at the Swampscott Middle School. Further scheduling details to follow. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion.

We’re excited to announce that registration for the 2024-2025 SNYB season is now open. The program is for players in 4th-8th grade.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

YOU MUST SELECT A UNIFORM (jersey and shorts) EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT A REQUIRED FIELD. The cost of registering includes the cost of a uniform, which is required this year.

This coming week is skills and drills: Schedule below.  Is is not required but highly encouraged to attend. Following week are tryouts and they are mandatory. Same times, same groups: the Dates are the 23rd, 24th and 26th for evaluations/team placement.

The Swampscott Nahant Youth Basketball Association (SNYB) registration will open September 1, 2023 for the Fall/Winter 2023/2024 Season. SNYB is a girls & boys 4th-8th grade competitive travel basketball league. Registration closes October 24th. However, we encourage you to sign up now to help manage team sizes. If you already have a TeamSnap account, go to the registration link below.

For those who don’t have a TeamSnap account you will need to download the TeamSnap mobile app from either the Apple store (iPhones) or Google play (Android) and set up your account before clicking on the registration link below. There is also a help link from TeamSnap below if you need a step by step layout of this process. Uniforms are required at a cost of $45 and can be ordered and paid for during registration process.
